Thrift Shop Finds

A lot of people are uncertain about shopping at thrift shops but I personally love them! I have found a ton of great stuff at D.I. and second hand stores! I even find brand new,(original store price tag attached), items occasionally! While shopping at thrift stores you have to be careful and keep an eye out for hidden "surprises", such as seaming coming undone, little holes and tears, missing buttons, spills, etc. You should do a thorough inspection of an item before purchasing. Here are some of the things I have found at second hand shops:

This knit vest (Bongo) was scored at a little consignment shop in Provo, Utah (Trendy Xchange). It cost me $5, even though the original price tag was attached reading $19.99. Its amazing what you can find for brand new but with second hand pricing! I wear this vest over a dark wash chambray.

This bow patterned shirt was made by Forever21 but I found this little gem at a consignment shop in Southern Utah called Coyote Exchange. I love, love, love, the lace around the neckline! I'm sure this shirt would have cost 15+ at Forever21 (which isn't a horrible price but you can do better!!) but I got it for 10$. It looks hardly worn and is perfect for hot summer months.

This shirt is the exact same one as above but it is a tan color, and a cotton material. I got these two shirts at the same time but this one was brand new (tag was still attached). This shirt would go great with anything in any one's closet because its a neutral with no pattern.

This unique tiger shirt has become on of my favorites! I have never seen anything like it (another plus to thrift shopping; unique items no one else has) and that's the way i like it!:)
Uniqueness describes my style perfectly. Why buy and wear what everyone else does when you can have your own personal style?

This American Eagle cargo jacket has been one of my greatest finds! I found it at D.I for $10. The original American Eagle price tag was still on it and it read $60!! It is a perfect piece for all year long because you can layer it with a long sleeve for winter or a short sleeve shirt for spring and fall.

This amazing blazer has been featured in a few of my previous posts because I just love it so much! This was also found at D.I. with the original Forever21 tag on it. I got it brand new at a thrift shop for $6 even though the original tag said $27.50. Blazers are just great! I wear this one with a lot of different things because its a solid color. When it comes to blazers I try to stick to solid or subtle patterns and neutral colors to get the most use out of them.

I hope this helped you to check out some second hand stores and thrift shops!
