The Old Stuff
Looking back to the beginning of this blog makes me laugh! Even though I started less than two years ago, fashion has already changed so much! I really wanna go and delete all the old posts, kind of like we all want to delete those Facebook photos from middle school, but I realized I shouldn't be embarrassed because that stuff used to be in style. Pretty sure we all wore it haha! Excuse my late night ramblings.
It's Finally Fall!
With it being October and all I guess that means that Fall is finally here! With Fall comes corn mazes, pumpkin picking, and of course cooler weather. I want to make sure you're dressed to impress so I've come up with some simple, comfortable, but 'oh so cute' outfits that are practical for all of Fall's activities. October and November are two of my favorite months because it's so easy to dress for! Like really, just throw on some jeans and a few layers and you're set! Here are some examples:
(Ok, first off, I strongly believe that every woman should own an army green vest! They are so versatile! Like really you can wear them to amp up any outfit! And they go with every thing!)
In this first 'Fall worthy' outfit, I paired some light wash boyfriend jeans (another thing every girl should have!) with a crew neck sweatshirt and gray booties! My booties are high heeled but if you don't like heels or their not practical for what you're doing, then wear flats! That's the best thing about fashion; you can pick and choose what you do and don't like and create your own style! And I mustn't forget about the bling added to this outfit, a black and gold watch just to spice things up.
Bullhead Boyfriend Jeans: PacSun $10 on sale
Mission Bay Sweathshirt: Thirfted for $12
Green Army Vest: JCPenney $25
Gray Steve Madden Booties: Ross $25
Gold and Black Watch: Styles For Less $10 on sale
Total: $82
This second look is for a more dressy occasion than that of the first outfit. This look consists of pretty basic pieces like black jeans and a jean vest (that I hope all of you have), that have been put with an interestingly unique shirt with gold accents. Tying in the with the gold accents, the beige, Chanel inspired bag, has gold embellishments that are balanced with mild nude flats.
"HAPPY" T-shirt: Macy's $15
Black Jeans: Thrifted Paris Blues' $9
Jean Vest: Aeropostale $17
Nude Ballet Flats: Payless $12
Black and Gold Watch: Styles For Less $10
Chanel Inspired Bag: PoshMark $18
Total: $81
(No, I am not embarrassed that my purse is the most expensive piece in that outfit haha!)
Simple, this outfit is purely simple. Consisting of just four pieces, this outfit is one you could easily throw on to go do anything! Oh hey look! Its the boyfriend jeans again (Like I told you they are a basic; so they go with anything!). This time they are pieced together with a simple patterned shirt and a navy blue leather jacket. To finish the outfit, I grabbed the good ole Steve Madden's.
Bullhead Boyfriend's: PacSun $10
Arrow Patterned Tee: Macy's $15
Navy Leather Jacket: Thirfted for I think $15
Steve Madden Booties: Ross $25
Total: $65
***You may be wondering why I'm not showing the outfits in detail, piece by piece. That's because I don't want you to feel like you have to have these exact pieces I order to make this outfit work. These are just examples, like a type of framework, so you can insert the things you already own!
Alright, another pretty simple outfit here. Ive been really into band tshirts lately so I thought why not make an outfit with my Nirvana shirt? I'm sure that some of you have an obsession with band tshirts like me, right? Its so easy to dress up band tees! In this example, I used my boyfriend jeans again (I must confess that I have 3 pairs of these exact jeans. But they go with everything!) and put them with a light rose colored jacket. I'm not exactly sure what you would call the shoes, but they're pretty much platform lace ups haha! And a silver watch to finish! This look is so versatile because you could put virtually any shirt with this to make an endless amount of outfits!!
Nirvana Tshirt: JCPenney $8
Pale Rose Jacket: Thrifted for $10
Bullhead Boyfriends: PacSun $10
Platform Shoes: Ross $18
Silver Watch: Target $20
Total: 66$
One of my absolute favorite things about this time of year is that you can LAYER!! Layering is my forte. I just love the way it looks so much! Reading through this post, you've probably figured that out already hah. But really there are so many possibilities! This outfit is a perfect showcase of that. I started this outfit with my fave Back To The Future shirt (yes that is the Dolorean on it!!:)) and threw on a burnt orange sweater and finished the layered look with my army vest. I paired them with my light wash skinnies (yes I do own other jeans besides the boyfriends haha!). Throw on some cute flats and this outfit is a must for any fall occasion!
BTTF Tank: Forever 21 $8
Burnt Orange Sweater: Forever 21 9$
Light Wash Skinnies: H&M $4 (super clearance sale!)
Pointy Toe Flats: Ross $17
Total: $38
Id like to call this next outfit 'Biker Chic' because the underlying style in this is definitely biker. That's probably my favorite thing about fashion; you can take a look that is very 'in', but put your own flare into whether it be by a fave band t shirt, or a sweater your grandma made you, or whatever, you can make any look YOUR OWN. This Rebel Rider shirt shows my inner biker chick, and with putting it with a look that is very popular now, I'm making fashion my own (what I think the definition of style means!) That's the whole point of my blog; STYLE, make it what you like!:). My combat boots, plaid shirt, and khaki jacket help my Rebel Rider shirt tell people who I am. if you do fashion right, it should be a reflection of you. ♥
American Eagle Jeans: Thrifted for $12
Rebel Rider Tank: Forever 21 $15
Plaid Shirt: JCPenney $14
Black Combat Boots: Forever Young Shoes $25
Khaki Jacket: JCPenney $30
Simple but classy, this 5 piece outfit is perfect for a rushed morning, school, errand running, dates, virtually anything! This long sleeved floral shirt placed under my army vest makes for an effortless layered look. Throw on some jeans, necklace and flats and you're out the door!
Floral Top: Forever 21 $15
American Eagle Jeans: Thrifted for $15
Army Green Vest: JCPenney $25
Pointy Toe Flats: Ross $17
Total: $72
